RAKTDA and World Tourism Forum Lucerne form strategic alliance


A strategic two-year partnership has been formalised between Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority (RAKTDA) and World Tourism Forum Lucerne (WTFL).

WTFL is a one-of-a-kind platform for sharing expertise and addressing future challenges of the travel, tourism and hospitality industry. Following this new alliance, Ras Al Khaimah will be an exclusive partner of the upcoming World Tourism Forum, which is scheduled to take place in Lucerne, Switzerland from May 1-3, 2019.

Over 500 participants are expected to attend the biennial forum, including heads of state, ministers, CEOs, investors, entrepreneurs and policy-makers, all of whom share a common interest in finding practical solutions for sustainable growth and development of travel, tourism and hospitality.

This new partnership with WTFL also entails the hosting of three industry-focused events in the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah in 2020. These include the WTFL Think Tank – a high-level two-day event for high-profile decision makers in the tourism industry; the WTFL Talent Boost – a platform dedicated to talent and job creation in cooperation with a tourism or hospitality university in Ras AI Khaimah; and the WTFL Start-Up Innovation Camp – bringing together the best new business models in several categories. For all of these events, RAKTDA will be the official sponsor and supporter.
