With the UAE’s 47th National Day just around the corner, Ras Al Khaimah is anticipating occupancy rates to reach over 90 per cent.
During the national day celebrations, the emirate will strongly focus on the country’s heritage and will offer a number of cultural activities to locals, families and visitors of all types.
CEO, Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority (RAKTDA), Haitham Mattar commented: “We expect to continue seeing a rise in the occupancy rates of the emirate’s hotels during this long weekend, especially for those looking for exceptional value for money hotel stays and adrenaline packed adventure activities. I encourage visitors to explore the unique tourist attractions in Ras Al Khaimah, its distinct hotels and get out and get closer to nature.”
Visitors can look forward to musical concerts, fireworks displays and traditional entertainment at staycation deal prices. On December 1, the UAE’s top singers, Hussein Al Jasmi and Aida Al Manhali, will perform in front of the signature Julphar Towers for a free-to-attend cultural musical performance, singing and paying homage to the history, heritage and culture of Emiratis .
The celebration, which will be attended by His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, will kick off at 20:00 and will be followed by a fireworks show.
Adding to this, residents and visitors will also be treated to a breath-taking air show performed by Fursan Al Emarat, the aerobatics team of the UAE Air Force, on November 27, 2018 at the Old Corniche from 16:00.
