President and founder, Rehlat Travel, Bader Al Bader remarked: “It’s only been a couple of months since we launched our operations on Sabre, but we have already seen the positive impact on our sales and performance. Sabre’s global expertise in online travel, impressive dedication and scale of cutting-edge technology made them an easy choice to help us provide a personalised travel experience for our customers. We look forward to rolling out new capabilities in mobile and social media to meet the expectations of our tech-savvy travellers.”
Also commenting on the new partnership was CEO, Sabre Travel Network Midle East, Daniel Naoumovitch: “Online travel has doubled in the Middle East since 2013 and online travel agencies, like Rehlat, are exceeding growth expectations as more and more consumers head online to shop for travel. We share Rehlat’s passion to provide a seamless travel experience and believe that technology can simplify the complexity of today’s travel, and unlock greater value, revenue and efficiency.”
In December last year, Sabre and Rehlat participated in E-Travel, an event dedicated to the online travel industry in the Middle East, which brought together regional leaders and experts who discussed the trends and developments shaping the online travel industry.
During the event, online business development manager – Middle East, Sabre, Nabeel Sheikho shed light on the importance of online travel and the very latest technologies.
“Consumer needs are rapidly changing in the region, fueled by faster and more accessible technology,” he said.
“Online travel agencies have been quick to respond to this, using the latest Web Service and API technology, to give travellers what they want. As this becomes the norm, more traditional travel agencies need to look at online and mobile strategies to stay competitive regionally and drive long-term, sustainable growth. The shift online is no longer just an emerging trend, it’s happening now and it’s happening fast,” Sheikho concluded.
Rehlat is one of many agencies in Kuwait and the Middle East in general to opt for Sabre’s online technology solutions.
