roomsXML, an accommodation wholesaler that caters exclusively to the travel trade, reported its successful participation in the recently concluded Arabian Travel Market 2016, with its booth having welcomed more than 400 travel agents, all of whom expressed interest in the company’s innovative products.
Throughout the show, roomsXML granted stand visitors a product demo. Meanwhile, the company emphasised the importance of developing and working under one’s own brand rather than depending on somebody else’s to travel agents.
Managing director, roomsXML Solutions Limited, Prakash Bang declared: “When tied with a third party brand, a GSA and a travel agent do have limitations since they lack the flexibility to work as per changing market dynamics. They have no options but to depend on the inventory, mark-ups, vendors, etc. that are offered by the principals. Worst, when the relationship comes to an end, the GSA or the travel agent needs to go back to the drawing board. The option is to have one’s own brand.”
Bang further explained: “The GSA and the Travel Agents do have the option of not choosing to work with our feed. There’s no binding. They can be with us as long as we are competitive and have a service that keeps them happy. At roomsXML.com, innovation is the key differentiator. That’s what keeps us leading the pack. Till date we have introduced 11 specific features that are the industry’s first – and many of them are yet to be emulated by others in the line.”
During ATM the group additionally strengthened its relationship with a number of highly-regarded travel technology companies.
