Rotana is exhibiting at the 2018 edition of the Arabian Travel Market, to share exciting updates and promote its recently inaugurated properties.
The hospitality expert announced the signing of a new management agreement for a 200-key, five-star property in New Cairo City, which will boost the company’s inventory in Egypt to 726 rooms.
In total, Rotana has a robust pipeline of 48 properties, all of which are set to open before 2020.
During the exhibition, the company’s three latest openings in the UAE are being heavily promoted, including the five-star Saadiyat Rotana Resort & Villas in Abu Dhabi, which soft opened in March, as well as Al Bandar Rotana and Al Bandar Arjaan by Rotana in Dubai. The latter two properties are strategically situated in the city’s booming business and leisure hub on Baniyas Road.
Adding to this, Rotana is pushing the four-star Pearl Rotana Capital Center at ATM 2018. The new hotel features 315 rooms, five restaurants, a club lounge and a Bodylines Fitness and Wellness Club.
President and CEO, Rotana, Omer Kaddouri enthused: “Firmly aligned with our long-term growth strategy, Rotana continues to expand its global footprint by opening new hotels in strategic markets that offer seamless opportunities for business growth. The hospitality sector is on a strong growth trajectory across the world, and in the Middle East and North African markets in particular. The regional governments have been promoting the tourism sector as part of their increased economic diversifications efforts. This, coupled with massive investments in infrastructure developments, has led to an uptick in the number of both leisure and business travellers to the region and, as a result, we have witnessed huge demand across various segments of accommodation.”
Kaddouri continued: “The announcement of our second five-star hotel in Egypt rightly reflects the rising market demand in the country and the wider region. With our robust pipeline, we are aiming to address the supply gap to support the development of the economies in our home markets,” he concluded.
Looking ahead, Rotana is gearing up for expansion into new markets in Africa, with properties planned for Luanda, Dar Es Salaam, Nouakchott, Lagos and Cairo.
The company also has plans in place for hotels in Iskenderun, Istanbul and Mumbai, while regionally, Rotana will add 32 new properties to existing markets as well as new cities such as Medina, Dammam and Al Khobar in Saudi Arabia; Sohar, Barka and Duqm in Oman; and Baghdad and Suleimaniyah in Iraq.
