From May 16-18, a Saudi delegation will be promoting the country as an ideal MICE destination at IMEX Frankfurt 2017.
Marking its very first international campaign, this marketing activity by the Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage in association with the Saudi Exhibition and Convention Bureau, will shed light on the country’s wide variety of hotels and convention and exhibition facilities.
The country’s attendance at IMEX Frankfurt 2017 falls in line with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, which was announced last year. The Vision aims to focus on other means of development for the economoy so that the KSA’s dependence on oil lessens. The MICE industry is one of the vital focal points of the reforms, as well as leisure and religious tourism.
Commenting on the news was executive director, Saudi Exhibition and Convention Bureau, Tariq Al-Essa: “As the worldwide exhibition for incentive travel, meetings and events, IMEX in Frankfurt is the perfect place for us to meet thousands of influential event and meetings buyers face-to-face and to show them the opportunities in Saudi Arabia and many superb facilities that we could offer them.”
