Sébastien Mariette has officially marked his return to Kempinski Hotel Ishtar Dead Sea in Jordan following his appointment as cluster general manager.
Mariette has worked with Kempinski for the last 14 years. He started his journey as the resident manager of the Kempinski Hotel Grand Hermitage, Varna, Bulgaria, and moved to Djibouti Palace Kempinski shortly after to serve as the executive assistant manager.
In 2010, Mariette was transferred to China, where he took over the role of general manager and successfully opened Kempinski Hotel Huizhou. In 2012, he became the general manager of Kempinski Hotel Wuxi, and, at the same time, he successfully opened and positioned Kempinski Hotel Yixing.
In 2014, he returned to the Middle East and Africa Region to work as the general manager of Kempinski Hotel Ishtar Dead Sea and was then promoted in 2016 as cluster general manager for Kempinski Hotel Ishtar Dead Sea and Kempinski Hotel Aqaba Red Sea. Later in 2018, Mariette joined Emerald Palace Kempinski and Kempinski Residences Palm Jumeirah as managing director, where he opened the outstanding Emerald Palace Kempinski in Dubai.
In June 2019, he was appointed project director – Asia, acting as the managing director of The Capitol Kempinski Hotel Singapore, while his most recent assignment was in Egypt, where he served as the general manager of the Royal Maxim Palace Kempinski and area general manager, Egypt.
