In order to capture the KSA market and raise awareness, Seychelles Tourism Office Middle East recently marked its inaugural participation in the Jeddah Intl Travel & Tourism Exhibition 2016 (JTTX6) event held at Jeddah Hilton.
The trade and consumer event allows exhibitors to shed light on their services and launch new products, attracting much attention from the media, trade and public sectors.
Throughout its three days, the over 20,000 visitors, 150 trade exhibitors and 17 countries were present.
Seychelles Tourism Office Middle East deemed its participation in the exhibition a success, highlighting that it was an ideal platform to open more business opportunities in the KSA, and more specifically, Jeddah.
Regional manager, Seychelles Tourism Office Middle East, Ahmed Fathallah commented: “We are delighted on the outcome of the JTTX6 event as we were able to communicate with different trade partners and consumers in Jeddah and at the same time have a glimpse at the latest travel behavior in considering KSA as one of our primary markets.
“Our first participation in the JTTX6 event has given us the opportunity to raise the profile of Seychelles as we aim to maintain and increase demand for the destination not just from our trade partners but from the end-users as well which are the consumers. We have also placed several activities to be carried out for us to be able to best promote the destination,” he added.
As a key market for the Seychelles, the KSA brought forth a 28.14 per cent increase in visitor arrivals in 2015.
