Sharjah Airport Authority has attended ATM 2016 in order to tap into the business potential that is available for aviation and tourism professionals as well as promote the destination’s tourism potential.
Sharjah Airport Authority is participating under the umbrella of the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority, alongside representatives from different facets of the industry.
Chairman, Sharjah Airport Authority, HE Ali Salim Al Midfa said: “Sharjah Airport Authority is keen to participate in the local and international industry key events and activities in order to promote Sharjah as a tourism destination and business hub, and to highlight the new services and facilities that the airport provides. In addition to showcase the achievements of Sharjah, especially this year, the focus has been on the celebrations of Sharjah as the Capital of Arab Press 2016 continuing its achievements in previous years as Cultural Capital of The Arab Word 1998, Islamic Culture Capital 2014 and Arab tourism Capital 2015”.
He added: “Sharjah has established a leading position for itself on the global map as one of the favourite destinations for millions of visitors from all over the world. And such these efforts and participations will enhance the Sharjah Tourism Vision 2021, aiming to attract more than 10 million tourists by year 2021, when the UAE celebrates its 50th anniversary”.
Director, Sharjah Airport Authority, HE Sheikh Faisal Bin Saud Al Qassimi mentioned that ATM is the ideal platform for Sharjah Airport Authority to communicate its services, facilities and B2B endeavors to local, regional and international industry professionals. With some of the internationals most influential travel trade specialists on hand.
In addition, Sharjah Airport Travel Agency (SATA) is participating in the event to showcase its services, packages and offers especially during the coming summer which witnesses usually an increase demand on these packages also it is a platform to do business with other parties from around the world.
