On a mission to streamline and simplify airport procedures for pilgrims from the UAE and those in transit, Sharjah International Airport has already begun processing thousands of pilgrims’ transactions.
Chairman, Sharjah Airport Authority, HE Ali Salim Al Midfa explained: “The airport has completed preparations for the Hajj season early this year and teams started facilitating pilgrims’ journey. We always improve our services to meet our passengers’ expectations, and to avoid any congestion or delays especially [during this] season.”
Also commenting was director, Sharjah Airport Authority, HE Sheikh Faisal Bin Saoud Al Qassimi: “All procedures, arrangements and setting work mechanisms that help facilitate pilgrims’ easy passage will continue until the return of the pilgrims. Moreover, a number of teams are set up to assist the pilgrims and simplify their procedures. We are keen to facilitate the journey of our passengers, especially the periods such as Eid Al Adha and Hajj.”
Working hand-in-hand with the Ministry of Health and the Sharjah Center for Preventive Medicine, Sharjah International Airport aims to answer any queries and distribute health guides with first-aid bags.
Additionally, Sharjah Islamic Affairs has allocated a preacher to increase the awareness of the pilgrims and provide them with the information needed to perform Hajj.
