Sheraton Hotels & Resorts has declared the debut of the Sheraton Grand brand in Africa, with the opening of the Sheraton Grand Conakry.
The newly built hotel celebrates Marriott International’s entry into Guinea, West Africa, and adds to a portfolio of more than 35 Sheraton Grand properties globally.
In light of the opening, president and managing director, Marriott International, Alex Kyriakidis stated: “Sheraton has a strong heritage in Africa that dates back to 1971. Over the last four decades, the brand has maintained its first mover advantage through strategic pipeline development and growth plans, giving global travelers access to more destinations in every corner of the globe.”
“Sheraton Grand Conakry not only marks our entry into a new country, but will also create a halo effect for the brand and serve as a great example of our transformation efforts,” he concluded.

The hotel’s facilities feature a 300m2 fitness centre, a deluxe infinity pool and the Shine Spa for wellness travellers.
The hotel also caters to corporate travellers, with over 1300m2 of dedicated meeting space along with 15 meeting rooms and a fully equipped business centre.
