Following a grand-scale development, At Six – a contemporary art hotel continuing the Swedish tradition for elegant design aesthetics, craftsmanship and comfort – has joined Preferred Hotels & Resorts.
Slated to open in March 2017 and located on Brunkebergstorg Square, At Six will offer 343 guest rooms, including 41 suites and a presidential suite covering 85m2 with private rooftop terrace. Communal facilities to be enjoyed upon launch include modern art collections and exhibitions curated by Sune Nordgren, a cocktail bar, brasserie, gym and more.
Furthermore, the adjacent two-storey rooftop restaurant, bar and terrace will serve cuisine by award-winning local chef Frida Ronge and sweeping views of the capital.
For meetings and events, the hotel comprises 2000m2 of flexible space, which can accommodate anything from 850 people to intimate groups of four.
Managing director, At Six, Jennie Hahmann Håkanson said: “At Six will offer a new kind of hotel experience in Stockholm, one that is tailor made for today’s luxury travellers. Elegance with a twist is our motto, and we are creating a place that is both a retreat and a stage. Preferred Hotels & Resorts is a perfect match for us and we look forward to our partnership.”
Executive vice president – Europe, Preferred Hotels & Resorts, Philipp Weghmann added: “This hospitality project spearheads the regeneration of the Norrmalm district in central Stockholm, creating a dynamic multi-use luxury hotel and social venue for both locals and travellers to enjoy. At Six is set to become the city’s next hotspot, and we look forward to a successful collaboration for years to come.”
