Marking a milestone in its history, Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide is gearing up to enter Armenia with the opening of The Alexander, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Yerevan in the summer of 2017.
The development of this luxury hotel is a result of a strategic partnership with Tsupani CJSC.
Enthusing on the news was president, Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Europe, Africa and Middle East, Michael Wale: “On the heels of surpassing the 100th hotel milestone, The Luxury Collection continues its rapid expansion with the signing of The Alexander in the historic destination of Yerevan. We are proud to partner with Tsupani CJSC and continue to deliver on our promise of bringing a new level of luxury to the CIS. The hotel, ideally located in the heart of Armenia’s capital, will offer guests unique access to authentic destination experiences.”
Also commenting was the majority shareholder of Tsupani CJSC, Asmik Ambartsumyan: “We are excited to partner with Starwood Hotels & Resorts and bring The Luxury Collection brand to Armenia. This hotel will be the first international luxury hotel in the country, and we expect it will also become the best.”
The Alexander, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Yerevan will stand within an arm’s reach to the Republic Square, the Institute of Ancient Manuscripts, the famous seven fountains and the History Museum and National Art Gallery.
The brand new, upscale hotel will be home to 114 luxurious guest rooms, including 17 suites and a Presidential Suite; event and meeting spaces including a ballroom, eight meeting rooms and a business centre; wellness facilities including an indoor pool, spa and a fitness centre; an all-day dining restaurant; a cigar club; and a lobby bar.
