Expanding its North African footprint further, Steigenberger Hotels and Resorts recently formalised an agreement with the Arab Company for Hotel & Tourism Investments for Steigenberger Resort Achti in Luxor, Egypt, which is scheduled to open its doors in Q3 of 2018.

The property will house 281 rooms, suites and bungalows, as well as six restaurants and bars, an outdoor pool granting picturesque views of the Nile, a separate pool in the bungalow area complete with a Jacuzzi, a business centre, a meeting room and a permanent multi-purpose tent for conferences and banquets.

Chairman, Arab Company for Hotel & Tourism Investments, Samir Hasan enthused on the new project: “The mother company of our group owns several five-star hotels all over in Egypt. We made a bidding to get one of the best hotel chains to manage our hotel. We are investing in extensive renovation works until the end of September 2018. The hotel will then be operated under the Steigenberger Hotels and Resorts brand, which we believe will be an added value to the property.”


Meanwhile, Steigenberger Hotels and Resorts recently celebrated the opening of Steigenberger Marhaba Thalasso in Tunisia, which inaugurated on April 1, 2018.

Guests to the resort can make the most of 371 rooms and suites, six restaurants and bars, six indoor and outdoor pools, a Thalassotherapy Centre, a hairdressing salon, a hammam and a sauna, as well as six conference rooms.
