Sunset Hospitality Group boosting Black Tap portfolio in UAE and Switzerland

Sunset Hospitality Group, which now owns a minority share of the Black Tap brand (the popular American eatery known for its award-winning burgers and signature CrazyShake milkshakes), has announced that two additional Black Tap outlets will open at The Dubai Mall and Mall of the Emirates in Q2, 2020.

These additional outlets will boost the total to nine Black Tap branches across the Middle East region and are expected to create jobs for more than 120 people in Dubai.

Adding to this, Sunset Hospitality Group has revealed that following the success of Black Tap Geneva, it has plans to expand its portfolio in Switzerland with a new Black Tap restaurant in Zurich, which is also expected to launch in Q2.

CEO, Sunset Hospitality Group, Antonio Gonzalez enthused: “When we first introduced the Black Tap concept in the UAE, we were amazed by the great feedback from guests who loved the unique food offering and the CrazyShake milkshakes. This fuelled our decision to open more outlets within a short span of time. As we enter the new decade, we believe that this is the right time to further expand the concept into the region and abroad. The decision to invest in the Black Tap brand globally is an ambitious move and we are convinced that we are looking at great returns as the company has ambitious growth plans around the world.”

Including the three new Black Tap outlets, Sunset Hospitality Group aims to launch over 10 new outlets this year, pushing its portfolio to over 30 venues by the end of the year.

Existing brands that are opening this year in the UAE and the wider GCC region include STAGE, Azure Beach and Ammos, in addition to SUSHISAMBA Dubai and AURA Skypool Lounge, both located at the Palm Tower.
