Kempinski Hotels has appointed Henk Meyknecht, a Dutch national, to serve as senior vice president, regional operations for the Middle East & Africa
Boasting over three decades of industry experience, Meyknecht has worked extensively in the Middle East, having spent time in Kuwait, Bahrain and Jordan overseeing the country’s three Kempinski hotels. Adding to this, he has also gained experience throughout China and Asia, with his most recent posting being at the Grand Kempinski Hotel Shanghai.
Enthusing on his new position, Meyknecht said: “I am excited to be back in this dynamic region where Kempinski is growing its portfolio of hotels. I’m looking forward to visiting all of our hotels and owners and to supporting the opening of our new properties in Al Khobar, Beirut and Muscat.”
Meyknecht is fluent in Dutch, German and English, and is a graduate of Maastricht Hotel School in the Netherlands. He also has a marketing degree from Cornell University and a degree in Business Administration from the University of Hong Kong.
