Now available in 10 languages, Abu Dhabi Tourism & Culture Authority (TCA Abu Dhabi) has announced that its online destination resource (visitabudhabi.ae) is now also available in Dutch.
The web portal can also be read in Arabic, English, German, French, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Chinese and Japanese.
The website, which currently achieves a daily hit average of over 11,000, provides users with useful information spanning Abu Dhabi’s attractions and experiences, culture and heritage, events and recreation activities.
Acting executive director marketing and communications, TCA Abu Dhabi, Mouza Al Shamsi noted: “As Abu Dhabi continues to develop and expand its attractions as it becomes a year round destination, attracting more visitors to reach record numbers year or year, we need to reach out and let as many people as possible know why they should visit our fabulous destination.
He continued: “We are highly proactive in our digital approach in promoting the emirate and will continue to adopt best practices to target new and existing markets. Holland is a key market for us with Etihad Airways expanding codeshare arrangements with KLM – the Dutch national airline – in the past 12 months to now offer double daily flights to Abu Dhabi. We also see much potential for Dutch travellers in the cruise market following the recent introduction of MSC – Europe’s largest cruise line – home porting at the new Abu Dhabi Cruise Terminal.”
Dutch language production of the Authority’s suite of printed consumer travel guides, maps and travel trade brochures are due to follow later on in the year in response to visitor demand.
