The Regency Hotel Kuwait has made noteworthy appointments and promotions to its executive management team.
The new team brings expanded knowledge, new professional skills and greater international experience to the acclaimed property.
In late 2018, Otto Kurzendorfer was appointed as the general manager of the hotel. His career spans three decades and three continents, with stints in Dubai and Shanghai with global hotel giants including Kempinski, IHG and Starwood.
Further to this, Sandeep Thekkil has taken on the role of executive assistant manager from his previous role as the director of rooms and revenue. Thekkil has 16 years of experience in steering operation, revenue management and business development functions in the hospitality sector.
Moving on, The Regency Hotel Kuwait named Khaled Harb as its marketing director, who boasts a solid retail background of 14 years in various fields of marketing in Kuwait.
Michel Gesthuizen joined the hotel as the new director of F&B, with 10 years of extensive experience in the F&B industry, while Ayman Al Bedewi was hired as director of engineering and is responsible for overseeing the operational maintenance of the hotel.
Finally, Fouad Noufal has assumed the position of director of conference and event sales, boasting a total of 10 years’ experience in luxury hotels, while Inge Bouwmans joined the property as front office manager, to ensure efficient operation of the hotel’s front office.
The new executives bring an immeasurable combination of leadership and expertise to the hotel management team. They will work in unison to identify new potential opportunities, leading to more refined strategies and a focused plan for achieving them.
