Adding yet another accolade to its ever-growing collection, TIME Hotels Management recently scooped the Dubai Chamber of Commerce & Industry (Dubai Chamber) CSR Label Award for 2015.
The award, which was introduced in 2010, rewards corporate commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives. This year, TIME Hotels was the sole hospitality industry company to receive the respected accolade.
CEO, TIME Hotels, Mohamed Awadalla enthused: “We are very much a community-focused company and this award recognises the team’s contribution towards helping to build a responsible and sustainable business community in Dubai.
“Receiving the official ‘label’ is effectively a seal of approval from Dubai Government for TIME Hotels, and also allows us to benchmark our own initiatives against those of other forward-thinking companies in the emirate, for whom CSR is a core principle of their overall business strategy,” he explained.
The CSR Label Award is handed out to companies that succeed in various categories such as: human resources (training, development, welfare, Emiratisation), client relations, business development, procurement, environment, health and safety, innovation, community; with Dubai Chamber also measuring the resulting impact in four key areas: workplace, marketplace, community and environmental.
President and CEO, Dubai Chamber, Hamad Buamim revealed that TIME Hotels scored 68.6 per cent across the board, which represents outstanding performance against an average Label Award score of 65.2 per cent.
A total of 186 companies are currently enrolled under its CSR Label programme, with just 16 having received the award this year.
Concluding, Awadalla declared: “We are thrilled to receive this award, especially given the high profile companies from across the business world, such as Enoc, Mashreq Bank, Dulsco, UNB and Amlak Finance, who were also recognised this year.”
