Tunisair is celebrating 50 years of successful services to and from Munich Airport, which is now a vital hub in its extensive route network.
Since Munich Airport’s launch in 1992, the Tunisian carrier has transported approximately 1.44 million passengers from Munich to Tunisia.
Eager to cater to heightened demand, the airline has incorporated an extra Saturday flight to Tunis, effective as of the start of the 2019 summer schedule. Prior to this update, Tunisair offered flights from the Bavarian capital to Tunis on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays only.
Offering German travellers plenty of choice, the Tunisian carrier also offers two weekly direct flights for holidaymakers to the sunny island of Djerba and to Monastir. According to the airline’s director of German operations, Chokri Wallani, a further increase in frequencies can be expected in 2020, with a view of upgrading the route to daily services eventually.
