Turkish Airlines recently enhanced its partnership with American Express Global Business Travel (Amex GBT) – a world-respected agency for corporate travel with over a century’s worth of experience.
The agreement was signed by chairman of the board and the executive committee, Turkish Airlines, M. İlker Aycı and board chairman, Amex GBT, Greg O’Hara.
Following this new alliance, the Turkish carrier will expand its current collaboration with Amex GBT (which was only on a regional scale between 2014-2017, including Europe, North America and the Asia-Pacific regions) to a global partnership. The airline has now added South America to the new joint service area and will benefit from Amex GBT’s top level support.
The partnership will aim to determine a common strategy on a global level and boost cooperation between the management of both parties.
The alliance will also see the increase of cooperation in product development, the Marine & Offshore, Travel and Lifestyle Services (TLS) and Meeting & Events segments.
The new business partnership will also work to raise the airline’s brand awareness within the Amex GBT organisation, while Turkish Airline’s will partake in all global events organised by Amex GBT; acquire new corporate customers through joint data analysis studies; and will have all sales activities heavily promoted.
Aycı commented on the exciting development: “As Turkish Airlines, we are very pleased to enter such an important business partnership with Amex GBT. With this new agreement, which was existed on a regional scale and now expanded to global, we aim to increase our market share also in the corporate travel segment and to be the most preferred airline for all business travellers worldwide.”
