Al Ain recently celebrated the launch of the newly constructed Jebel Hafit Desert Park, which spans nine kilometres at the base of Jebel Hafit and invites visitors to truly absorb and experience UAE culture.
Visitors to the new attraction can take in its stunning natural surroundings, while also discovering fascinating archaeological and historical remains, including remnants of the Neolithic period 8,000 years ago and 5,000-year-old excavated tombs.
In 2011, Jebel Hafit Desert Park was recognised by UNESCO as a component of the World Heritage Site of Al Ain, representing the UAE’s first World Heritage Site.
Special activities to be enjoyed at the attraction include biking, hiking, horse riding, camel riding, individual camping experiences, serviced camping experiences (inclusive of breakfast in a Bedouin-style tent) and guided buggy tours.
All accommodation and activities at the Jebel Hafit Desert Park site are managed by Barari Natural Resources. Gates open at 08:00 and close at 18:00, subject to sunset.
