voco Dubai recently contributed to InterContinental Hotels Group’s (IHG) ‘Giving for Good’ campaign.
Throughout the month of September, the voco Dubai team packed and donated five tons of linen to refugees in the MENA region.
The hotel has a line-up of charitable initiatives, including the planting of 12 trees, hosting Autistic children to experience a day in the life of a hotelier, volunteering as chaperones for young adults with social and behavioral challenges, and organising a number of fitness programmes to encourage a healthier lifestyle.
General manager, voco Dubai, Simon Stamper commented: “voco Dubai invests in training and upskilling employees by giving them multiple responsibilities, including a valuable humanitarian role. The team is delighted to be part of such a meaningful initiative by giving back to the community and assisting individuals with health issues or in conflict-affected countries. It is our social responsibility to promote and instill values that support equality, charity and peace amongst each other which is aligned with the UAE’s Year of Tolerance.”
