Mondrian Doha, managed by sbe, has reopened Walima restaurant’s outdoor terrace following an expansion and has introduced a new oriental culinary offering.
The reopening event marked the launch of the new terrace with an oriental performance by Iyam El Lira, a Lebanese band formed by young talented musicians reminiscent of the golden era of melodies.
Walima’s terrace has been expanded to accommodate a higher number of guests, while giving the restaurant’s visitors a chance to enjoy a variety of newly added oriental flavours. The upgraded terrace overlooks the spectacular Doha skyline. Mondrian Doha’s guests can now enjoy the restaurant’s new menu alongside a spectacular view of Qatar’s West Bay and beyond. The restaurant’s terrace is now open for dinner and is available for both private and corporate events.
“The restaurant now offers our guests a remarkable view alongside a fine selection of oriental dining that will ignite all senses,” revealed general manager, Mondrian Doha, Wael Maatouk. “Set to become the latest standout restaurant in Doha, Walima is the perfect culinary match for Mondrian, with its strong influence on all of our visitors, its set to provide the most memorable experiences in town. I would like to thank the sbe group for their trust in Mondrian Doha’s choice in food and beverage outlets and wish Walima a successful journey ahead.”
Meanwhile, Walima’s new menu features dishes that champion oriental ingredients such as Grilled Hammour Fillet, Rubiyan Mashawi, Aubergine Moussakaah, in addition to a wide variety of delightful courses, appetizers, slides and beverages.
Walima is a first-to-market concept that opened in 2018 and is the seventh culinary and entertainment venue to open at the Marcel Wanders-designed Mondrian Doha, joining a selection of world-class concepts such as CUT by Wolfgang Puck, Morimoto, Hudson Tavern, Magnolia Bakery, RISE and Black Orchid.
