New routes will connect Cyprus to 14 destinations including Malta, Thessaloniki, Heraklion, Skiathos, Preveza, Rome, Verona, Prague, Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Kiev, Odessa, Tel Aviv and Beirut. The summer schedule is expected to deliver over 100,000 visitors to Cyprus this year to support the tourism recovery as well as jobs at Larnaca International Airport, which is the airline’s base.
Chief operating officer, Cyprus Airways, George Mavrocostas explained that Cyprus Airways will grow its international network despite COVID-19 and noted that the new routes highlight the airline’s commitment to Cyprus and its willingness to play a lead role in driving tourism recovery for the island.
