Taj Jumeirah Lakes Towers has welcomed Mohit Gurnani as its general manager.
Gurnani will now be responsible for overseeing the management and operations of the Dubai-based hotel.
A seasoned hotelier, Gurnani has been with The Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) for more than 15 years, having held several senior management roles in India and the Middle East.
Area director – Middle East and general manager, Taj Dubai, Ranjit Phillipose said: “We are delighted to have Mohit on board with us. Gurnani previously served as the general manager of the Taj Chandigarh, where he strategically navigated the hotel to emerge stronger during the peak of the pandemic by optimising revenues, realigning strategies and instilling confidence to restore hospitality and tourism in the city.
Adding to this, Gurnani was instrumental in successfully launching Taj Dubai as hotel manager and positioning it as a luxury hotel in Downtown Dubai. He has also spent time at the company’s flagship hotel, The Taj Mahal Palace, Mumbai where he spearheaded efforts to achieve the highest guest satisfaction scores.
