Gulf Air flights to be operated by vaccinated crew members

From the first day of Eid Al Fitr, Gulf Air flights will be operated by 100 per cent vaccinated crew members, including pilots and flight attendants.

The Bahrain-based carrier kicked off its internal vaccination campaign for its operating crew and frontline staff in December 2020. It is one of the very first airlines in the world to be able to provide peace of mind to all passengers flying to any destination within its growing network.

Acting CEO, Gulf Air, Captain Waleed Abdulhameed AlAlawi commented on the good news: “We’re proud to make our passengers feel safer than ever when flying with us. Starting from the first day of Eid, all our pilots and flight attendants on-board our flights will be fully vaccinated.”

He continued: “This will provide a safer environment for passengers and the crew themselves. We welcome everyone to fly with us to our new destinations and summer favourites, with peace of mind.”

As well as its announcement this week regarding the relaunch of flights to Larnaca in June, Bahrain’s national carrier has announced that from June 20 until August 29, 2021, it will be offering twice weekly flights Malaga in Spain.
