Oman’s SalamAir has taken delivery of its second Airbus A320neo aircraft, which offers 180 seats, wider aisles, wider seats, more stowage space and impressive fuel efficiency.
CEO, SalamAir, Captain Mohamed Ahmed commented on the new addition: “We are thrilled to be one of the first airlines in the region to take receipt of the much sought-after A320neo aircraft. This new aircraft means we are opening the skies for more guests and meeting the growing demand for convenient, pocket-friendly travel options in the region.
“We are also expecting another A320neo aircraft delivery in June. This aircraft which offers unbelievable efficiency will help us achieve our goal of offering even more destinations to our guests, our aim being to reach 60 destinations,” he added.
The A320neo has a host of benefits, including a 20 per cent fuel burn reduction per seat and 14 per cent lower cash operating costs per seat. With a nearly 50 per cent reduction in noise footprint, its quieter engine elevates traveller comfort.
A total of four additional A320neos are set to be delivered later on in the year, bringing SalamAir’s total number of A320neos to six.
